What happened: The Lady Hilltoppers overcame a sluggish start from a long bus ride and routed the host Lady Bobcats in both teams’ season opener after dropping Game 1. Los Alamos won, 14-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-14.

Standouts: Natalie Gallegos had 14 kills and four aces to lead the hitting attack. Elise Olivas dished out 26 assists and served a pair of aces.
