The Santa Fe Fuego won their ninth straight baseball game with an 11-7 victory over Trinidad in Pecos League action at Fort Marcy Ballpark on Saturday.

Santa Fe (43-20) held the Triggers (32-25) scoreless for the first six innings for a 7-0 advantage. Trinidad scored at least two runs in each of the final three innings, but four runs by the Fuego in the bottom of the seventh widened the deficit.

Omar Artsen, Chevas Numata and Aaron Carmen had home runs for the Fuego, and Artsen and Numata each finished with three hits. Pitcher Brandon Marris (5-3) got the win after throwing six innings with five hits and two earned runs.

The two teams will play one more game against Trinidad at Fort Marcy Ballpark on Sunday before the Taos Blizzard come to Santa Fe Tuesday to start the final series of the regular season.
