Fancy a nosh? From noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, Sandia Resort and Casino (30 Rainbow Road, Albuquerque) fills with the enticing scents of savory brisket, fresh-baked challah bread, bagels, lox, gefilte fish, smoked pastrami, and stuffed blintzes. Inaugurated last year as a fundraiser for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque, ABQ NoshFest celebrates the best food the Jewish culture has to offer, with Duke City vendors that include M’Tucci’s Italian Market and Pizzeria, Einstein’s Bagels, and California Pastrami. Activities range from a challah bake-off to a kids’ zone with face painting and a slime station, and proceeds benefit JCC programs to assist the homeless and promote early childhood education. Advance registration is $6.50, $8 at the door. For more information, go to abqnoshfest.com or call the JCC at 505-348-4518.
