Flamenco

After cutting ties with Aspen Santa Fe ballet earlier this year, flamenco maestro Juan Siddi is returning to the Lensic Performing Arts Center (211 W. San Francisco St.) with a new company, a summer season in Santa Fe, and a 501(c)(3). At 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 9, the first program of Siddi’s Arte Flamenco Society features “Fuego Lento,” an intense soleá created as a solo in 2016 and here reconfigured as a duet. Direct from Spain are three new company members: guitarist and musical director Jose Luis de la Paz, from Huelva; Morenito de Jerez, a singer from Jerez; and Manuela Montoya, a singer who hails from Algeciras. Tickets are $25-$65, available by calling 505-988-1234, or at www.ticketssantafe.org
