New York-based choreographer Molissa Fenley, who has been creating her own dances to great acclaim since the late ’70s, will present a concert at the Railyard Performance Center, 1611 Paseo de Peralta, on Sunday, July 17, at 8 p.m. Fenley, who is spending time in Santa Fe working on a new piece about circadian rhythms, will present three excerpts from Water Table: Sargasso Sea (part 4), The Pattern of the Surface (part 5), and Mali (part 8) and Entrance, a duet with music by David Behrman. She will be joined onstage by dancer Christiana Axelsen. At sixty-two, Fenley still performs. “I’ve enjoyed getting older, even as a dancer. The maturity and knowledge I have in my body is all in there. I walk around with my own personal history — all my dances — inside me.” Tickets are $15 and are available at the door (cash or check only), or at www.brownpapertickets.com.
