Santa Feans have seen Bob Fox virtually every night for the past 20 years at La Cantina at La Casa Sena, where he is music director and accompanies singers. On Friday, June 28, the pianist and composer leads his own trio with bassist Colin Deuble and drummer John Trentacosta. Fox, a New York native who has called Santa Fe home since 1993, has made music with Stanley Turrentine, James Moody, Eddie Daniels, and other jazz stars. He was the music director for the Straight Up albums Live Jazz in the Desert (1996) and No Need for Words (2002); he also performed on multi-instrumentalist Arlen Asher’s 2003 CD Another Spring. Now the Santa Fe Music Collective (santafemusiccollective.org) presents the Bob Fox Trio at the Museum Hill Café, 710 Camino Lejo. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the music starts at 7 p.m. Call 505-946-7934 for tickets ($20-$25) and reservations.
