Immerse yourself in the dazzlingly colorful obsession of artist Claude Monet (1840-1926) with a screening of The Water Lilies of Monet: The Magic of Water and Light. The 80-minute film by Giovanni Troilo follows the life of the innovator of Impressionism through visits to three Paris museums with significant Monet collections and to the artist’s gardens at his home in Giverny. Narrated by Elisa Lasowski, with music by Remo Anzovino, the film includes a special focus on the painter’s last water lily work, which he called his grand decoration: three panels more than six and one-half feet tall and nearly 42 feet long. The Lensic Performing Arts Center (211 W. San Francisco St.) presents the movie at 7 p.m. Monday, June 3. Tickets are $15 at ticketssantafe.org and 505-988-1234.
