The poet of fire walks beneath the molten ground

she stands atop volcanoes

deciding if they should hold their fire, or blow into a puff of smoke

the poet of fire rides down the ooey-gooey slide that instantly turns to ash

she runs with the children

in their small little towns, quiet and wholesome

the poet of fire celebrates the life of those who have passed

she walks under their graves

the poet of fire lives underneath the earth

where it is filled up to the rim with water

the poet of fire enjoys long walks

where dawn meets dusk

somewhere past the horizon

under the sea

through the woods

and into the dark
