I cant think of anything that should be lower on the priority list than a golf course. Waste of precious water.

Patrick Brockwell

Dear Charlotte, Do you use a flush toilet? Is disposing of your feces with drinking water a high priority? If so I want to thank you for flushing your toilet so the golf course can irrigate and provide healthy outdoor recreation to residents and tourists. The golf course also enhances quite a bit of habitat for wildlife. We see all manner of animals, birds and mammals, predators and prey, on the ground and in the air. The golf course also reduces runoff, cools the environment and captures carbon. In my world we call irrigating the City's golf course beneficial use of wastewater.

Frank Chambers , IMO Webber is master at "sleight of hand" he has defunded police by hiring private security, he raised franchise fees on PNM a tax to the consumer that PNM can collect and pay to the city without a vote. show up at a baseball game and make it seem the team is endorsing him, meet with the 3sC and get a monument taken down. And now get the City to pay for a campaign commercial for his election. I hate to be this cynical but this guy has no shame and must be stopped.

I believe, Richard, that you live in the county so I wonder how you are so affected by Webber's action. And if you live in the county, you have no vote in the city's mayoral election. Your comments are often not based in reality. I doubt the mayor can raise franchise fees, for example, without a vote by city council Would you cite date of this raising of franchise fee. I am curious if the mayor really has this power.

How do you know where I have real estate interest , You don't have to live in the city to be effected by the Mayors decisions .https://www.abqjournal.com/1321168/santa-fe-electric-bills-may-rise-by-summers-end.html When franchise fees are increased PNM have the right to add them to your electric bill hence a tax increase without a vote. Go troll on someone else.

PNM raises utility rates--not the city--get your facts straight.

Richard Reinders

They raised franchise fee of $7-800 k and it was passed to residents

Richard Reinders

I never said anything about not doing it without the council. I just said it was a slick way of collecting a tax from the constituents without a vote from them. There is a lot of backdoor ways to put cost back on the tax payer.

Sorry I meant the PRC raises utility rates (note gas rates are going up). It would agree to any rate change by PNM. Please get your facts right. And even if you own land in Santa Fe, if you are not a resident, you do not get to vote in the mayoral election. Or does that law not apply to you?

Also your "news" is over two years old. Oh! Doesn't the outrage feel good? Gotta vent sometime.
