Anthony Bourdain, the chef, author and host of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, was spotted at the Mine Shaft Tavern in Madrid, filming his new series Parts Unknown, a travel show on CNN. Later during the week, a New Mexican employee spotted the 56-year-old star munching on a Frito pie in the Five and Dime, and Mitotero’s willing to bet that stop was part of the TV series, too.

The downtown Starbucks location must have a huge gravitational pull — it attracted two A-list stars, Amanda Seyfried and Neil Patrick Harris, within two days. Seyfried, of Les Misérables and Mean Girls, was spotted at the downtown coffee shop Monday, while Harris, of How I Met Your Mother, was seen Tuesday afternoon. Both stars are part of Seth MacFarlane’s latest film, A Million Ways to Die in the West.

Former state historian Estevan Rael-Gálvez welcomed first lady Michelle Obama on May 22 to the Decatur House, one of the historic sites that Rael-Gálvez oversees in his position as senior vice president of historic sites for the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The Decatur House, in Washington, D.C., was formerly a home for slaves. The historian later welcomed noted vocalist Gloria Estefan on May 23.

Yet another Lone Ranger trailer has emerged. It features Johnny Depp talking in broken English, Armie Hammer wearing a mask and mumbling and Helena Bonham Carter playing dress-up. The trailer shows CGI trains getting shot, running off tracks and exploding. The close viewer may be able to discern some New Mexico landscapes amid the digital explosions.



Santa Fe-born Ayla Parker, 20, will join the New York-based modeling agency Next Management in Los Angeles. Parker, 5-foot-8, graduated from Monte del Sol Charter School in 2010 and has modeled in Santa Fe for the local clothing line Sense. Parker joins another former Santa Fe resident, Arizona Muse, at the modeling agency.

Author, painter and television personality Lynette Jennings’ home in Abiquiú just hit the housing market. The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home on 22 acres is listed at $765,000 by Abiquiú Realty Ltd. Jennings was the host of the Discovery Channel TV series Lynette Jennings Design.
