Such a strange thing: nuclear forces. I often pull up the Trinity site on Google Maps and wonder at the scale of it all. Oppenheimer had the measure of the thing. Still, we broke the world in a new way, bringing horror and wonder to our modern lives.

I strongly believe our momentary misstep with this power will be an important but distant memory once fusion makes takes in place in our energy grid. Energy resources have been a problem for a long time, but we are on the cusp of a new path with nuclear technology.

Thought-provoking stuff. Fumiko A's input was rather haunting. Losing these stories would be a tragedy.

This story is amazing. The SFNM needs more in-depth articles like this one.
