Bottom line, is these employees need to be back in the office and under supervision to make sure the work is being done and callers are being taken care of. I've been trying for over a month to get ahold of someone because I cannot get into our DWFS account to file our SUTA report. If I'm not on hold for over two hours, I get disconnected, but usually I immediately get a recording from the IT department line that there's, "no one to take your call right now. Please call back later", click!! It's just pure BS!!

Throwing money at this type problem rarely if ever solves it. Getting rid of the former cabinet secretary was a good start but perhaps we should also consider getting rid of his boss.

You think the governor would have addressed this issue at the same she shut everything down. Waiting to do something after the entire system has collapsed really doesn’t say much about how she feels about the large number of unemployed citizens. I’m guessing she’ll give herself a pat on the back after the issues are corrected.

They seem to be able send out lots of unemployment benefits to people who never even filed for it. We didn't file for it and didn't lose a job but we got a check for $1100. We filed a report with the sheriff's office but I'm not sure what that will do. At the end of the year we will get a 1099 from the state saying we owe taxes on whatever they send us. What do we do then? We notified NMDWS by email (since there is no answer by phone) on May 20 that there was a fraudulent claim and in June they send us a check. This is the most messed up organization I've ever seen. Then the people who need it, can't get through the process. What an incredible hassle.

NMDWS has caused me so much emotional distress it is overwhelming. After doing everything they require and even after my former boss and I both verified my identity, I was still presumed to be a scammer. So the ones who truly were scammers cheating the system have also cheated those who were legitimately eligble. I brought this issue to the Attorney General and never heard anything back on it. I received a letter stating I would have to repay overpaid benefits when I didn't even receive what I was supposed to. The department even deleted all the previous correspondence on my online portal proving their fault but thankfully I had screenshot & printed everything.
