Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s chief of staff, John Bingaman, has taken a leave of absence from his duties to serve as an adviser to the governor’s role as co-chair of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s transition team.

Bingaman began in the new role Oct. 5 and took leave from Lujan Grisham’s office because the advisory role is “not within the scope of the governor’s official duties for the state of New Mexico,” the Governor’s Office said.

“There is a bright ethical line between political activity and governance, and the administration takes the obligation not to cross that line seriously,” said Lujan Grisham spokeswoman Nora Meyers Sackett. “Even the mere perception of an intermingling of official and political business would be unacceptable.”

Matthew Garcia, Lujan Grisham’s general counsel, is serving as interim chief of staff for the Governor’s Office.

Sackett noted Bingaman is neither employed by nor officially part of the Biden transition team.

Lujan Grisham’s office confirmed in September the governor had been named one of five co-chairpersons on Biden’s team preparing for a possible transition to the White House.

Biden is running against President Donald Trump in the Nov. 3 general election.

Still not a word in this newspaper or most of the mainstream media about the biden family corruption story breaking as we speak. Emails uncovered from his kid about peddling influence and access to his father in Ukraine and China for millions.

And there will not be a word in the responsible media simply repeating allegations placed in the New York Post by agents of the Trump regime, as these allegations do not pass the ‘stink’ test. However many are now reporting the backstory to this attempt at an 'October Surprise,' including this from the New York Times, 15 October 2020:

[US] “intelligence agencies imparted the warning… [that Russian intelligence officers were using President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani as a conduit for disinformation]… months before disclosing publicly in August that Moscow was trying to interfere in the election by taking aim at Mr. Biden’s campaign… Mr. Trump and Mr. Giuliani have promoted unsubstantiated claims about Mr. Biden that have aligned with Russian disinformation efforts, and Mr. Giuliani has met with a Ukrainian lawmaker whom American officials believe is a Russian agent.”

So members of Trump's inner circle are meeting with Russian spies to bring down Biden's campaign? Could these same folks be the source for the New York Post's allegations regarding Hunter Biden? No, Trump's cabal would never stoop so low.

¿Que no?

Yep, the Russians are behind it. Better keep watching the reports Jimbo, more to come. The biggest political corruption scandal in U.S. history since Watergate.

too bad he could never advise MLG or if he did, watch out. Too bad New Mexico and New Mexicans are always 2nd fiddle. Of course, MLG has always hidden behind this caring façade for the sole purpose of running from the state to another job. Leaving the mess for Hoiwe to clean up if Biden were to get elected which is doubtful.
