New Mexico reported a little more than 3,000 COVID-19 cases over the weekend, with 37 more deaths and 539 people in the hospital battling coronavirus.

The state Department of Health said 3,110 new cases were detected on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, including 207 for those three days in Santa Fe County. Bernalillo County had about one-third of the cases, with 1,158. But there were large numbers in Valencia County (370), Dona Ana County (377) and Sandoval County (189) as well.

The long list of deaths included a man in his 90s from Santa Fe County who had underlying conditions and lived at The Legacy at Santa Fe.

Eleven of the victims were from Bernalillo County. Doña Ana and Otero counties each had four.

Are NM HOSPITALS taking in ICU patients from Texas, AZ, & CO? If they die here are their deaths counted as died in NM, or reported as died in the state they lived in? Just wondering.

This is just about to get crazy. The stores are packed, no hand washing, no distancing, wearing ineffective masks; just in time for Omicron. The Governor is quiet, because its a reelection year, so its "good news" only, with "bad news" ignored. Utterly ineffective, and incredibly power hungry. She terrifies her subordinates.
