When Hugh Jackman & Co. set up in Northern New Mexico over the summer to shoot his third standalone flick, we knew a few things: Wolverine would be brooding, he would be situated in some vague high desert landscape, and he would probably appear old and done.

Just awesome!

Meanwhile, speculation about the title ran rampant. After X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013), we had some idea where they'd take it.

El Mitotero's money was on WolverineHere He Is Again: Wolverine. Other contenders included That Boy Wolverine Back For More, El Wolverino, and simply Wolverine.

But, no, and those were bad suggestions, you. It's Logan, and it now has a trailer:

Logan filmed up near Chama and Tierra Amarilla, where little birds told El Mitotero that the cast and crew had to scratch and claw (solid Wolverine joke, don't @ me) for the limited lodging space.

It's Mitotheorized they filmed elsewhere in the state as well, given some of Jackman's social media posts, but all we can say for sure is that Jackman hearts Canyon Road.

First catch of the day! #dinner

We can also say it looks like there'll be quite a bit of Professor X (Patrick Stewart). Never a bad thing.

Logan doesn't yet have a release date. Should be sometime next summer. We'll keep you posted on that. Looks pretty good, no?
