Congrats to Eric DiStefano and Geronimo restaurant of Santa Fe, 724 Canyon Rd. for being named the best overall restaurant in New Mexico by Business Insider.

The website used a variety of sources to compile the rankings, including James Beard Award nominated chefs.

"Noted for its impeccable service and complex dishes, Geronimo was named best overall, best ambiance, and best food in New Mexico by OpenTable, among other honors. It is also the only New Mexico restaurant to win a AAA Four Diamond award, as well as a Forbes Four Star award," writes Emmie Martin.

In Colorado, Boulder's Frasca Food & Wine got the nod, while in Texas (forget about barbeque) a Japanese restaurant in Austin got the mention, Uchi.

Geronimo is certainly a fine restaurant, one of the best. However, Business Insider is not noted as a competent evaluator in this area.
