With a book like this, folks won't feel like they have "these trails to themselves" for long. Just like the curse of Instagram, these types of books cause an influx of visitors, many of whom aren't familiar with how to tread lightly and move with respect through the woods.

While normally I would totally agree with the comment, and have seen the tragedy of impacts to special places due to people posting on Instagram, this book is in another category. Visitors to the Valles have to check in at the NPS visitor center, and only 35 cars daily are allowed into the vast backcountry. Visitors are reminded to practice Leave No Trace ethics. The hikes that Coco details require a commitment of time and energy and focus... these are not outings for the people who want a quick selfie somewhere beautiful to post on social media.

FYI: in a simple search I couldn't find a way to buy it online; I found it listed, but no one selling it.
