Vegans rejoice: Root 66 Cafe is open for business. The eatery, which began as a food truck serving an all plant-based menu with an emphasis on comfort food, is open for takeout and curbside pickup at its new space in the Lena Street Lofts, 1704 Lena St.
The restaurant, which opened last week, is open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. A rotating menu can be found at root66cafeorder.square.site, where diners can order dishes such as the Green Chili Queso Burger or Blood Orange Carrot Cake and pay before pickup. Walk-up ordering is available at the restaurant’s side entrance.
A portion of all Root 66 sales goes to support the nonprofit Animal Protection Voters of New Mexico. For more information, visit root66.com.
