It’s not the end of the world, but to a lot of Lobo basketball fans, it sure did feel like it.

The moment Hugh Greenwood’s 18-foot jumper bounced off the rim and was batted away at the final buzzer in Wednesday’s loss at Boise State, a collective feeling of getting punched in the gut percolated its way through Loboland. Understandable, given the fact that UNM built a 12-point second half lead and was on the verge of getting another quality road win in a tough environment.
