STAYING AT UNM? Kendall Williams says he plans to return to Lobos next season

ALBUQUERQUE — In a sign of unity that undoubtedly went a long way in quelling the nerves of Lobo Nation, every player on The University of New Mexico men’s basketball roster — including the departing seniors and the former head coach’s eldest son — stood in unison to greet new head coach Craig Neal during a packed news conference Wednesday in The Pit.

Among them was shooting guard Kendall Williams, the one player designated to speak on behalf of his teammates following Neal’s first official engagement as UNM basketball’s 20th head coach.
