The Albuquerque Isotopes opened a four-game Pacific Coast League road series with the Iowa Cubs with a 4-0 shutout on Saturday night.

Third baseman Alex Liddi started the scoring for Albuquerque (35-40) by batting in center fielder Joc Pederson in the top of the fourth inning. First baseman Clint Robinson brought in Pederson again in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly to right field and right fielder Mike Baxter brought in catcher Tim Federowicz with a single to center field two batters later for a 3-0 lead.
