At least, not when it comes to putting together a complete game.
The Lady Wolves crumbled in the fourth quarter of their District 1B opener against New Mexico School for the Deaf on Tuesday, as the Lady Roadrunners went on a 9-2 run in the quarter for a 37-27 win in Larson Gymnasium.
Waldorf (8-12 overall, 0-1 1B) found itself down 28-25 heading into the fourth quarter, but the offense went cold.
It didn't help that the Lady Wolves committed 31 turnovers and shot 23 percent for the game.
Waldorf head coach Daniel Wendland said his team is still learning how to play to win.
"They had a lot of nerves before the game," Wendland said. "We may have been in it in the fourth quarter, but instead of being confident in each other, we are in the mode of not trying to make a mistake."
Waldorf had a pair of players record double-doubles -- Sophia Richard had 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Lauren Gary scored 10 points and grabbed 20 boards.
NMSD (8-8, 1-0) was led by Kimberly Herrera with 24 points.
CORONADO 45, MCCURDY SCHOOL 32

Coronado outscored McCurdy 22-12 in the second and third quarters combined to take a 33-22 lead into the final period at Gallina.
Gabrielle Vigil paced the Lady Leopards with 15 points, while Deandre Velasquez added 12.
Jacqueline Maestas scored 15 points to lead McCurdy, while Alannah Sanchez added 11.
