And now, the fun really starts.

What the rest of the basketball-starved state has thirsted for since the end of last season is now here. It’s state tournament time, and all across the state, cars are getting worked over, gas tanks are being filled, while maps and map apps are being used to direct the masses to where they need to go (just remember to do it before you drive — or bring an unwilling family member or equally crazy friend to handle the navigation part).

Los Lunas runs like a team from the North, with height.

I stand corrected on Barron, he went to Los Lunas. Still see the heavy Miker bias though, I thought all the SFNM sportswriters were SM alumni. Seems like the best team in the North, if not the state, should be the feature of this tournament for SF basketball fans.

Baron probably didn't mention the grants- sfhs game because he knows its gonna be nothing more than a waste of gas for the pirates. Clock will run most of the second half and sfhs will break a harder sweat during the warmup than during the game. Also, not sure he graduated from st. mikes ron. Might wanna check your intel on that one. No way capital lasts through the pace of los lunas or belen matching the precision of the st.pius shooters. SFHS fans should be looking forward to the roswell matchup and the inevitable showdown with the st. pius girls in the semi final.

Are you kidding me Barron? no mention of the best team in the North. The Santa Fe High Demonettes, the best AAAA team in the state, plays Grants tonight at home and you leave them off your "list". Man, I know they don't wear blue and white like your alma mater, but to ignore them is a slap in the face. Really, SM vs. Pojoaque,???
