Finding inspiration from the sands of Sedona, Decker is a self-described “psychedelic desert folk” group. That branding can be heard in the form of twangy guitars, mournful vocals, understated Western-y drums, and a hefty dose of reverb on all the band’s four studio albums. Decker’s most recent release, 2013’s Slider, was named album of the year by Arizona-based online culture magazine YabYum Music and Arts, and Decker is already working on a new release for this summer. The rockers trek their way through the desert and arrive at Cowgirl BBQ (319 S. Guadalupe St., 505-982-2565) on Wednesday, April 16. The 8 p.m. show is free. Visit www.deckermusic.org.
