Still partly promoting material from his 2011 solo album, Satisfied at Last, Joe Ely is anything but. His set for the current Western Wind Tour incorporates a “suitcase of new songs” and collaborative partnerships with multi-instrumentalist Jeff Plankenhorn and indie-folk guitarist David Ramirez. The Tex-Mex rocker is no stranger to collaboration, having worked with The Clash in the late 1970s as well as Bruce Springsteen, The Chieftains, and many others. Ely and Ramirez play a duo show at Santa Fe Sol Stage & Grill (37 Fire Place) at 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. Advance tickets, $32, are available from Tickets Santa Fe at the Lensic (505-988-1234, www.ticketssantafe.org); it's $40 at the door for the 21-and-over show.
