Le Week-End, dramedy, rated R, The Screen, 3 chiles

Meg (Lindsay Duncan) and Nick (Jim Broadbent) are a not-very-happily-married couple from Birmingham who have decided to perk things up for their 30th anniversary by returning to Paris, the city where they spent their honeymoon in happier days. They arrive by train, already bickering, and go to their honeymoon hotel to find that 30 years have been no kinder to it than to them. “It’s beige,” Meg says, contemptuously surveying their room, and she storms out.
