Center, founded in 1994 as the Santa Fe Center for Photography, sponsors photography exhibitions each year in advance of Review Santa Fe, a June event that gives committed photographers the opportunity to have their portfolios reviewed by museum curators and gallerists. In conjunction with Center’s 20th anniversary, the organization presents Road to Nowhere: Southwest Sojourns at the Marion Center for Photographic Arts at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design. The exhibition features images on the theme of the open road by more than a dozen Review Santa Fe alumni and Center members, including New Mexico-based photographers Susan Ressler, Jennifer Schlesinger Hanson, Jonathan Blaustein, and Jamey Stillings.

The exhibit is curated by Mary Anne Redding, chair of SFUAD’s photography department. The show opens concurrently with the Marion Center’s New Mexico State Fair Portrait Project, an exhibition of photographs of participants at the New Mexico State Fair taken by photographers active in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
