Exhibitionism: Australian contemporary indigenous art

Chiaroscuro Contemporary Art and the Vivien Anderson Gallery in Melbourne present Australian Contemporary Indigenous Art III. The biennial exhibition series features the work of prominent aboriginal artists. This year's  show includes pieces by Judy Watson Napangardi, Rerrkirrwanga Mununggurr, Keith Stevens, Roy Underwood, and others. Many of the works are abstract but reference narratives passed down through generations of aboriginal peoples. Some of the artists are present for the opening reception at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 27.
