It’s people who bring people to the Plaza

This person’s actions do not quite fit into the mayor’s “bring people to the Plaza” program. However, this is what gets people to the Plaza, to stores and keeps them from getting lost!

I certainly don't know one way or the other, but I'd assume that the folks running the show under Obama are not big GWB fans, so they wouldn't invite him. I can't imagine that you could get any of them to invite Cheny without water-boarding them.

If Bush and Cheny had shown up at the 9/11 museum opening, someone would probably complain about that, too. They'd be accused of ghoulishly returning to the scene of the crime to steal Obama's spotlight, right?

    Sarcasm noted.

I do not have an answer to your question. It seems reasonable that since it happened under their watch, they would be invited. Perhaps they were on vacation, reading "My Little Goat" to elementary school children, or in an offsite bunker. Could be they're still looking for weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.

Might be off-topic, but this *is* the "Letters to the Editor" section: Why, oh, why did the New Mexican make it impossible to view more than one article if you're not logged in??? I know that this paper is a business and needs to make money and all, but good heavens!

Does the New Mexican pay Joseph Ford and other newspaper vendors like him the Living Wage, or are they still using the "independent contractor" loophole to get away with taking advantage of their vendors?

Ellen Hasenecz Calvert's letter reminds me of Joe Ruiz, who, as a Deputy Insurance Superintendent under Eric Serna, would shake down insurance companies to get them to donate to his charity, which existed solely to use those donations to buy copies of Ruiz's book and distribute them to New Mexican school children.

Were they invited to any remembrance ceremonies this week?

Regarding September 11th and its many oddities: did anyone notice that George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were conspicuously absent at the rememberance ceremonies this week?

Maybe they forgot they were running our Nation when this tragedy occurred. Or maybe they remembered.
