Funny how we ALL word things incorrectly (imho), sometimes unknowingly, or on purpose to get our opinion stated. As one who's views definitely lean to the left, I wouldn't consider myself "anti-gun." I'd consider myself, regarding guns and abortion, pro-choice with some common sense laws in place. With regards to guns, they don't interest me so I couldn't add to the conversation, what common sense laws would be.

In regards to abortion, again, pro-choice. To say liberals are cheering every time a baby is aborted is, well, pathetic. We are for a woman’s right to choose.

What I do find appalling about those that are anti-choice or if you prefer, anti-abortion, is that these same people, historically are "pretending" Christians, and don't fiscally or ideologically support universal health care, programs geared towards "helping" infants, poor families, orphanages, etc. So while you're trying to ban abortions, what are your solutions to taking care of all the forced birth babies? As the party that represents the "he with the most toys wins" etho, where do these "unwanted" humans and for that matter, the earth that is going to sustain their existence rank on the conservative priority list? My common ground with ya’ll maybe the school of thought, that , dare I say, if you can’t afford the time and/or the money to actually fully be involved in raising a child, don’t have a child. The “time” part covers rich and poor. Look at how F’d up children who suffer from affluenza are.

The Second Amendment was tested in many lower courts before 2008. It is a fact that most liberals are anti-gun, and are also pro-abortion. Perhaps I shouldn't have assumed Ms Moor fell into that group, but I suspect she does.

    Mr. Neal,

Are you certain? I'll admit that I am not, but I believe that the Supremes only confirmed the rights of individuals to bear arms in 2008. Until that time, the Second Amendment assured us the right to own arms (you are correct--in the 1700s, most men had guns), and to use them to protect ourselves and families from outside forces by banding together to FORM a militia, since this young country had no formal Army as yet. The Second Amendment has been a tough one to interpret since it was written, and I do think its last "translation" was 2008.

Now, "those same courts gave YOU legal abortion . . . ," -- why do you assume Ms. Moor is in favor of abortion because she bemoans the death of young people? The Supremes gave everyone Rowe v. Wade whether we want it, use it, agree with it or not. It is not just for women; men make babies, too. Be nice, sir.

    Ms Moor,
The reason the "militia" was able to wage a successful Revolutionary war was because the "people" were already armed and knew how to use their weapons. Your flawed interpretation of the Second Amendment has been tested in the courts for decades, and is flat wrong. Those same courts gave you legal abortion and have helped other progressive agendas- you can't always have your way.
