Mayor Javier Gonzales — rightly — brought in a number of voices to start talking about the best ways to keep Santa Fe moving. Together, members of his transition team have put together a 140-page report on how to improve our city.

Reporter Daniel Chacón is highlighting different portions of the mayor’s transition team’s report. So far, he has written about what the team has had to say about the Finance Department and about ideas for improving tourism (the entire transition team report is online at http://ow.ly/xPJK7 ), so citizens can read and judge for themselves.

Who needs that pesky free speech anyway? I'm sure that once our rights to complain and keep informed are gone, nothing bad will happen to out other rights, right?

Gear New Mexican, you know very well that there are way too many "junk" boxes around the Plaza, and many of those are not maintained buy the "junk" producers.
Why don't you sponsor a little newspaper kiosks like they have in Europe and offer
it so folks on the Plaza get a real service of news, not just 50 versions of real estate junk magazines...help make the Plaza look better and stop wining about free speech...let's be a example for the community and get rid of the boxes.
