December 21, 1909: Ed Ehle of Las Cruces, formerly of this city, arrived in town yesterday afternoon and will remain several days selling town lots near Las Cruces.
December 21, 1959: Ranchers in the Clines Corners area today appealed to the governor's office for equipment to break trails to starving livestock. Charles Hagerman, a rancher in the area, said that the Clines area had some 20 ranches that he personally knew of that had livestock starving because the ranchers did not have equipment to break trails in the snow. 'We're willing to pay for the use of the equipment but we just don't have large machinery that can break through this 18-inch cover of crusted snow to get to the stock.'
