November 13, 1909: The U.S. Patent Office has granted A.B. Renehan, attorney of this city, a patent for a new bath cabinet. The contrivance is designed to give dry heat baths, arranged so that it may be attached to a steam or hot water heating system or in the absence of such, a system to a hot water faucet.
Work on the proposed highway between Santa Fe and Albuquerque is being held up by the inaction of the board of county commissioners of Sandoval which will meet, however, on next Monday to take action to secure the right of way for the road as surveyed.
November 13, 1959: Southeastern New Mexico's deer hunting season opened yesterday, and today two hunters were dead and three others seriously injured. A 64-year-old Eunice rancher died unexpectedly in mountainous country 100 miles northwest of Truth or Consequences and a 26-year-old Roswell man was shot to death by an unknown hunter near Capitan.
November 13, 1984: About 70 Santa Fe area Boy Scouts were among those at a 1981 jamboree site in Virginia that was on an Army base tainted with dioxin. Jerome Monks, district Scout chairman, said the dioxin incident is "a great concern to us because of the implications but information as to the extent of the danger has been 'sketchy.' "
