She went by Ayn Warriner in 1997, when a New Jersey judge sentenced her to eight years in prison for trying to hire a hit man to kill one man and castrate and remove the tongue of another.

Since then, Warriner has gone by a string of names, court records show, and has spent years “terrorizing” the citizens of Northern New Mexico, in the words of one of her alleged victims.
