3 teens charged in rape of Pojoaque student

Three teenagers have been indicted in the brutal April rape of an 18-year-old Pojoaque High School student at a house party near Española.

Two of the defendants — Jacob Martinez, 15, of Fairview and Irin K. Martinez, 16, of Santa Cruz — are juveniles. They are not related. The third suspect is a female, 19-year-old Kayla Coriz of Chimayó.

    I sure hope these 3 defendants (kids or not) are dealt with accordingly. Such a horrible thing to do!! I hope the slap on wrist is not the way they are going to deal with this. They need to be away for a long long time.

    To the victim of this horrible act: I wish you a healthy recovery. May you heal and prosper, and have a wonderful future.
