New Mexico officials are proposing to redesign a border entry in Columbus, N.M., to make it safer for U.S. children who live in Chihuahua and cross the U.S.-Mexico border to attend schools in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Border Authority will present its $350,000 proposal this Friday at a meeting between representatives from the border states. The event will take place at the Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque.
