Rainy, windy weather finally hits dry New Mexico

A strong moisture system that brought more than 2 inches of rain to California moved through New Mexico overnight, providing a bit of relief to what has been a dismally dry winter.
Light showers picked up across Northern and Western New Mexico Saturday after starting to trickle in the night before, the National Weather Service said, and snow was falling on higher elevations.
