Gov. Susana Martinez’s trip to New Jersey this week to campaign for Gov. Chris Christie has some national political pundits’ tongues wagging about a 2016 Republican “dream ticket.”

Martinez joined Christie at campaign stops in at least six locations Monday, the last day of the New Jersey campaign. As expected, Christie, who is considering a presidential run, won re-election Tuesday by a comfortable margin. Christie’s campaign paid for Martinez’s travel expenses.

I'm suggesting that he was paid to be there, likely as security. The other guy you mention I thought was her husband.

Mr. Mocha, have you watched the hearings on Obamacare... To predict that the Democratic Party will control the House, Senate, and the White House is rather optimistic and if I were a betting man I would not take that bet. Just saying.[wink]

Governor Martinez is "so focused on New Mexico". How about holding a fundraising event in your own state then? For someone that thinks New Mexico should be self reliant, she sure as heck is not going to rely on her New Mexico supporters to finance her campaign.

Fact is Governor Martinez is in way over her head. None of her supporters can outline any accomplishments other than balancing the state budget (Which by the way is state law, it is illegal to run the state government without a balanced budget. I give more credit to the legislative finance committee for straightening out our budget issues). Her education reforms are a joke (ask any teacher in the state), she does not practice transparency (the flagship message of her campaign, guess we only need to look at the Racino deal to answer that question). I will give her this though, Enrique Knell is a brilliant spokesperson! She made a great choice in hiring him. That is all that this administration has accomplished, the most brilliant public relations campaign I have seen in a long time! Only intelligent individuals that rely on facts and records can see through the sham that Governor Martinez has put together.

Sweet. Two republicans who think for themselves and refuse to take a penny from the flea.... I mean tea party. Ahh... such Suzana haters in New Mexico.... always seems to be men with women in charge issues. They must have small..... minds. And Deiter, if you bothered reading instead of just looking at the pictures you would have learned that Christie paid. And I won't even qualify that bodyguard statement with a snappy reply. Such animosty. tsk, tsk.
Life is good in these united states these days. Obama is firmly in charge, Hillary is poised to take control for the next eight years, the republicans are all but finished as a party except for moderates like Christy and martinez, the flea, I mean tea party is going the way of the dodo bird and next year the dems should control both houses again. Yup, Life surely is sweet these days.

No matter how you slice or dice it, while trying to put lipstick on a pig. Republicans are the party of Fat White Men. Shall we list them? A couple manufactured symbols of diversity won't change a thing. What's next? Republicans will read the tea leaves and see, Oh America favors Transgender Martians! Let's dig one up and march it out to prove the Republicans look just like America. Mean while the wizard behind the vale is still A Big Fat White Man.

Great. She's "so focused on New Mexico" as she campaigns in New Jersey for her own political gains.

Just think about this....why on earth would anyone even think about having a governor from one of the poorest states in the nation even think of being in the white house. She can't even take care of business at home.
I wonder who paid for her little trip to NJ, and did she get the trooper helicopter to give her a ride AGAIN?[wink]

I guess it's better to "qualified to be Vice President by virtue of being an Hispanic woman, as opposed to the present VP's qualification, of being dumber than the President.
