Taxpayers spent more than $20,000 on out-of-state travel for Gov. Susana Martinez, her staff and her state police security detail last summer, according to information released Monday by the state Department of Finance & Administration in response to a public records request.

Nearly all the travel during the period between June and September was for political trips to states including Florida, Colorado, Texas, Wyoming, New York and Pennsylvania, records show.

    compare the abuse:

the governor's tab was $20,000 or 1 cent per citizen of new mexico, and,

the president's travel charges since his presidency are $40 million or 13 cents per citizen of the united states, (and this is without any additional travel expenses for michelle, the first daughters and grandmother.

the new mexican needs to provide a more balanced view of the relative expense.

Why are we paying anything for her political trips?
