With all due respect, Mr. Keyes, really? It sounds reasonable? Assuming for argument's sake you are a businessman, would you pay one of your top level employees take paid time off so he or she could look for a better job? Or help his/her friends look for one? Pay them to go to parties where they will be paid to attend? If so, I'd love to work for you; so would my friends, family and colleagues.

$27,000.00 in three months. That's more money in a few months than it takes to support a family of four in our state--albeit at poverty level for a year. Let's say at that rate (if accurate) the governor just took the food, roof, clothing and dignity away from 16 New Mexicans for one year.

If she is going to a fundraiser for a colleague, let them pay the expenses for her and her staff. If she is raising funds for her next campaign, let her reimburse the people of New Mexico who are already paying salary for her to be here and working for us--in New Mexico, right now.

    Sounds pretty reasonable.
