Escaped tortoise hampers traffic on Old Santa Fe Trail

A 150-pound runaway tortoise slowed traffic for motorists driving along Old Santa Fe Trail on Tuesday morning.

Animal control officers were able to recover the reptile and return it safely to its owner, according to Santa Fe police.
