The polls aren’t encouraging. The money looks downright grim. The national pundits have been unanimous in their view that Republican Gov. Susana Martinez is destined to be elected to a second term in November.

This also was the opinion of the chairman of the Democratic Governors Association, who last month angered and disappointed New Mexico Democrats by saying he thought New Mexico was a lost cause this year, so the organization will be spending its cash in more competitive races elsewhere.

Good thing that Webber's carpetbag had some money in it. If one of the democrats want to win, they better throwing mud at each other real quick.

Since the democrat party already knows this is a lost race, and won't contribute money to it. this gang of five needs to go to the democrat version of the Koch brothers, George Soros. Of course even he won't waste his money on this lost cause.

"Money does not necessarily determine who wins an election."

That's true, but according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission by the rival campaigns and party committees, Obama raised roughly 10% MORE than Romney; $1.123 billion vs. Romney's $1.019 billion. (information from a Politico article, Dec 7, 2012)

Rather staggering numbers about the U.S. political process, much to the delight of fundraising organizations who take a significant percentage as "management" fees, and television stations and advertising agencies who make big-easy millions flooding the airwaves with obnoxious bullstench and lies from both parties.

These dudes and Linda Lopez should buy power ball tickers. With the power ball now standing at 90 million. Them there millions could help which ever of the candidates struck it lucky. With a nickel and dime campaign none of the candidates nominated to take one and only, Susana Martinez! If you don't buy lottery tickets, you don't have a chance of willing those ninety million buckaroos!

State Democrats will need to have solidarity regardless of the candidate that gets elected in the primary. Money does not necessarily determine who wins an election. Mitt was proof of that in 2012. We need to get dialogue and disseminate information to expose how bad Gov. Martinez has been in her tenure with of our fellow New Mexicans. More importantly we need to get more people to vote!

Let's all be sure that whenever we contribute to our Democratic party this year that we DON'T give to the national governors association.
