The city of Santa Fe wants to keep a 2003 BMW owned by former Santa Fe County Sheriff Greg Solano after his 21-year-old daughter crashed the vehicle into a brick wall last month and was arrested on a DWI charge.

The Jan. 27 incident was Sylvia Solano’s second arrest on a charge of driving one of her father’s cars while drunk.

Is there any reason why they SHOULDN'T seize it? As always I'm dumbfounded at what amounts to the enabling of second, third, etc. incidents of drunk driving in our state.

"This story is not about any crime he has recently committed. looks like you just don't like him." So there HAS been recent criminal activity? What's to like about a dirty cop?

Hmmm what's worse, being a little off topic OR defending a known dirt bag ex-sherriff who still has enough juice to get his criminal children out of trouble.....

DING! I'll take blind defender of loser for $200 Stu please.

An eleven year old BMW? Who knows how long he has even owned it or if it was even given to him. My Kia costs more than an 11 year old BMW.

A 2003 BMW is 11 years old, older than anything I own. I don't think you can make assumptions based on just the fact the brand is a BMW. An 11 year old BMW is cheaper to buy than any new car.

Who is Solano trying to kid. He is still up to no good and everybody knows it.
He's no longer selling County property…he's just moved onto other things. Other quick (theft) ways to make money.
He's still a crook!!!!! Sick of his sad face that he puts on for the cameras/media. What a piece of work. He should be behind bars.

Solano skips payments on what was a small amount compared to what he sold but he can buy BMWs. What is wrong with this picture?
