Nancy Wood, 1936-2013: Writer, photographer found new ‘way of being and seeing’ in New Mexico

Nancy Wood, a photographer and writer who published more than two dozen books, died Tuesday afternoon at her home in Eldorado. She was 76.

Born on June 20, 1936, in Trenton, N.J., to an Irish Catholic family, Wood attended Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Penn. She moved to Colorado in 1958 and then to New Mexico in 1985. She first lived in Taos and then moved to the Santa Fe area in the early 1990s.
