City Councilor Rebecca Wurzburger threw a party Thursday on terrace of the Santa Fe Community Convention Center to declare her plans to run for mayor in the spring municipal election.
While guests noshed on hors d’oeuvres and the odor of lilies mixed with smells from an afternoon rain storm, Wurzburger talked about the challenges the city is facing. “It’s my belief that the mayor’s No. 1 job at this point in Santa Fe’s history is to lead a new economic revitalization in Santa Fe, by focusing the Council … and community’s attention on creating initiatives like those visionary ideas of the past that have made us both unique and prosperous,” she said.
