Attorney General Gary King, right before the end of the business day Friday, released part of an audit by a Boston company that had led to a shakeup in the state mental health system. The report confirmed that a criminal investigation into Medicaid billing fraud is ongoing.
But virtually all specific information about the 15 New Mexico providers that were audited in search of possible financial fraud was blacked out in the audit pages released Friday. In a state court filing, King said releasing the rest of the information could jeopardize the investigation.
