A New Mexico Medical Board hearing on proposed new rules for medical providers who certify patients for the state’s medical cannabis program scheduled for Friday has been postponed because too many people planned to attend.

A statement issued by the board late Tuesday said the room where the hearing was scheduled to be held can only accommodate 80 to 100 people, and board staff expected as many as 400 attendees at the hearing.
