State Auditor Hector Balderas made it official Tuesday. After hinting at it for months, Balderas formally announced that he’s seeking the Democratic nomination for New Mexico attorney general.
The 39-year-old former state legislator is a lawyer from the small town of Wagon Mound in northeastern New Mexico. He ran for U.S. Senate last year, but lost in the Democratic primary to Martin Heinrich, who went on to win the general election.
