Department of Health officials began a “site survey” at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center Monday evening in response to a union complaint alleging that the hospital is dangerously understaffed.

The department declined to provide any details about how long the process would take. In an email, the department stated, “We assure you the results will be shared publicly when they’re ready.”

Sorry to add my experience to the list but as so many others, in my opinion as an inpatient think St. Victims is simply OUT OF CONTROL and although it's profits may be up, it's quality of health care is way way down. When I was there a number of pieces of equipment didn't seem in working order or the entry level staff didn't know how to use them correctly, I lingered in the ER area needlessly until they could find me a bed upstairs, my rest, if I got any, was constantly interrupted by any number of staff asking me if i was satisfied with the quality care I was receiving. I was not and could not wait to be discharged and was thankful I had a simple easy diagnosable blot clot condition.
Had it been anything complicated, I think I would have taken a taxi to Albuquerque to be treated. In brief; WE NEED SINGLE PAYER GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED HEALTH CARE LIKE EVERY OTHER CIVILIZED COUNTRY ON THE PLANET. PERIOD !!
