ALBUQUERQUE — An Albuquerque professor pleaded not guilty Wednesday to allegations that he pushed an officer during a sit-in at the mayor’s office protesting police shootings.
David Correia entered his plea and later said he was “proud to stand alongside the families of those who have been victims” of Albuquerque police excessive force. He appeared before Metro Court Judge Cristina Jaramillo on a charge of battery on a peace officer.
